The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of South Korea has discovered that Korbit, Gopax, Bithumb, and Coinone are involved in money laundering violations similar to those of the operator of Upbit, Dunamu, and will impose severe penalties on them. Dunamu was previously fined 35.2 billion Korean won (approximately 24.35 million US dollars), setting a precedent for the entire industry. Industry experts expect that these enforcement measures will be completed by the first half of next year, making it one of the most stringent regulatory measures in the South Korean cryptocurrency market in recent years.
